Swim PEI is going to be holding a Stroke Clinic Weekend on May 15-16, 2010. The Head Coach of the Dalhousie Tigers Swim Team, David Fry will be running the clinics. David has years of coaching experience and we are very excited to have him come to PEI is offer his expertise to our swimmers and coaches. See below for a brief bio on David Fry.
There will be 3 clinics offered in total over the two days. Swimmers can attend as many sessions as they would like as long as they meet the eligibility requirements. Please see below for the clinic details.
Saturday, May 15, 2010- Session #1Location: Credit Union Place
Time: 8:30-10:30 AM- Pool Session
10:45-11:30 AM- Classroom Session
Eligibility: Swimmers that have achieved at least 1 NB "B" Standard
Registration Fee: $25.00 (payable to Swim PEI)
Saturday, May 15, 2010- Session #2Location: Credit Union Place
Time: 1:00-1:45 PM- Classroom Session
2:00-4:00 PM: Pool Session
Eligibility: Swimmers that have achieved at least 1 NB "B" Standard
Registration Fee: $25.00 (payable to Swim PEI)
Note: If swimmers chose to participate in Session #1 & #2, their registration fee will be $40.00 total. Sunday, May 16, 2010- Session #3Location: CARI Pool
Time: 9:00-11:00 AM- Pool Session
11:15 AM-12:00 PM- Classroom Session
Eligibility: Swimmers that have achieved at least one 2009 PEI Canada Games Standard
Registration Fee: $25.00 (payable to Swim PEI)
The registration deadline for all three clinics is
Monday, May 3, 2010. Completed registration forms and payment
MUST be received by the Swim PEI Provincial Office by May 3, 2010. Please note that these clinics are open to all Island swimmers and spots are limited. There are 40 spots available for each clinic so if your swimmer is interested, register them early! This is a very unique opportunity for our Dolphins swimmers and we don't want them to miss out!

Coach Tracy
David Fry BioDavid Fry began coaching with the Dalhousie University Tigers in 1998. Since then he has lead the team to 22 out of a possible 23 AUS titles in his 12 seasons as head coach. He has guided several swimmers to medals at the CIS swimming championships.
Major accomplishments of Coach Fry's career include coaching Marie Moore to several Canadian Records, a place on the 1984 Canadian Olympic Team and a bronze medal at the 1983 Pan American Games. He also coached Andrew Cole to a spot on three National teams. Most recently, he coached Kiera Aitken at the 2004 Olympics Games, the 2006 Commonwealth Games and the 2007 Pan American Games, representing Bermuda. Coach Fry also coached the Bermuda National Team at World Championships in Barcelona and Montreal, with four out of the five swimmers being members of the Dalhousie Tigers Swim Team.
