East Coast qualifiers will continue to practice from June 20-July 6, 2011 (East Coast). Schedule is TBA.

Annual Banquet / Nominations
Hey Dolphins!
In just a couple of weeks, we will be celebrating our swim year at our Annual Awards Banquet. Here are all the details:
Location: Red Shores at Summerside Raceway
Time: 6:00 pm
Tickets: $5 for swimmers / $15 non-swimmers (parents and family)
Purchase Tickets: Saturday 10-10:30 May 28th
Wednesday 6-6:30 June 1st

The Finkle- Hammer Award has been created to reflect the strengths and qualities of its namesakes - J and Lisa. This award recognizes a parent / guardian, or couple, who significantly contributes to the success of the Dolphin Swim Club and leads by example by: demonstrating a positive spirit on and off the deck; celebrating and engaging Dolphin swimmers; volunteering freely of his/her time to benefit the club; exhibiting a keen interest in the successful operation and facilitation of the wide ranging Club activities; and being a positive ambassador for the sport of swimming with other parents of swimmers or potential swimmers!

Congratulations Dolphins!!
Congratulations to all of the Dolphin swimmers that competed this weekend at Provincials! You guys really stepped it up this weekend and made your coaches proud!! Every single swimmer had several outstanding swims....just way to many for us to list! The Journal Pioneer is going to post all results in this week's paper so keep your eyes open for it.

More Updates....
It is hard to believe that our year will soon be wrapping up! Before we put our suits and towels away, there is still lots happening over the next few weeks:
Annual Banquet
The Year End Awards Banquet has been booked for June 9th at 6:00 pm

This is an exciting night for our swimmers as it is there one chance to get dressed up and celebrate their awesome swim year together as a large team.
Video
We will be videotaping all our swimmers this coming week to use as part of a slideshow at the banquet as well as our website / advertising. I realize that you have all signed a consent for photography and video but if you have any concerns, please notify me before Wednesday May 11th.
Garden of the Gulf
We are hoping to arrange a team lunch on Saturday. If you are interested in participating, please let me know by Wednesday, May 11th. tmtynski@pei.sympatico.ca
Volunteers – the Charlottetown Bluefins have asked for our assistance in volunteering for this meet. They need 6 timers and 2 stroke and turn. The Bluefins have been an amazing help when we hosted meets throughout the year, so I hope our club can help them out. NOTE: volunteering in Ch’town counts towards your ballots for a free membership. If you are available, please contact: wmakers@pei.sympatico.ca
Volunteer Incentive Program
A final reminder that all volunteer activities should be submitted to Barry Gerus by May 15th to ensure you receive your ballots for a free membership next year. Good luck to all our volunteers!

Dolphins Season Coming to an End for Some....
Hello Swimmers and Parents!
The next few weeks are going to be exciting for our team. See below for the list of events...
On Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 5:00-6:30, there is going to be a year end party for the Jr. Dolphins and the Tier 1A & B's. Coach Emily and Coach Jennifer have lots of exciting things planned. There is going to be races, team relays, games and lots of prizes! We encourage all parents to attend to cheer on their swimmers! Please note that there will be NO PRACTICE on May 12, 2011 for the Tier 1A & B groups.
On Thursday, May 26, 2011, there is going to be a year end party for the Tier 2's. It will be similar to the Jr. Dolphin/Tier 1 event.

CUP Evacuation
Hi Dolphins,
As most of you know, the CUP was evacuated this morning. We are waiting to hear if the issue has been resolved and if the building has been deemed safe. I have not heard from anyone yet and the City does not have any details as of 11:00 am today. I will post later if practices will go ahead after school. Thanks for your patience,
